Summary
If a card payment fails in Kiddo, your application or enrollment step may stay Pending until payment succeeds. This guide helps you retry safely.
Before you start
- Sign in with the same email as your application.
- Have another card ready if the first one was declined.
Steps
- Open Home and find the payment alert or Complete Payment button on the center's card.
- Select Complete Payment.
- Review the amount and fee type (waitlist fee vs enrollment fee).
- Enter updated card details, or try Apple Pay / Google Pay if available.
- Submit payment and wait for confirmation on Home — status should change to Paid.
If you were paying during the waitlist form, return to the center's link, sign in, and complete the Payment step before submitting.
What happens next
- Successful payment unlocks the next step (application submitted or enrollment continued).
- You should receive a confirmation email. The center sees Paid on their side.
Common questions
Why did my card fail?
Common causes: insufficient funds, incorrect ZIP code, bank fraud block, or expired card. Try a different card or call your bank to authorize the charge.
Home still shows Pending after I paid
Wait a few minutes and refresh. If it remains Pending or Overdue after 15 minutes, contact the center with the payment time and last four digits of the card.
Can the center waive the fee?
Only the center can waive or adjust fees on their side. Contact them if you have hardship or were charged in error.
Is it safe to enter my card in Kiddo?
Payments process through Stripe. Kiddo does not store your full card number. See Pay a waitlist or enrollment fee.
